The Spendflo platform uses role-based access control to ensure users have the appropriate level of visibility and authority within the system.
There are two primary roles:
Requester
Admin
Each role is designed to support specific responsibilities within your organization.
1. Requester
Overview
A Requester is a standard platform user responsible for creating and tracking requests.
This role is ideal for team members who interact with contracts, vendors, or deals operationally but do not require administrative control.
The Requester role focuses on action and visibility within defined boundaries.
What a Requester Can Do
Request Management
Create new requests
View and track their own requests
Edit or update submitted requests (based on workflow rules)
View request history and status updates
Limited Data Visibility
View details tied directly to their submitted requests
Access associated vendor or contract information where applicable
Basic Analytics
Access personal or limited dashboards
View summary metrics related to their activity
What a Requester Cannot Do
View all organizational contracts
View all vendor records
Access organization-wide deals
Configure system settings
Manage users or permissions
Access advanced reporting
2. Admin
Overview
An Admin is responsible for governance, oversight, and system configuration within the Spendflo platform.
Admins have full access to the platform’s data and settings and are typically assigned to leadership, operations heads, or system owners.
Admins inherit all Requester capabilities and have expanded control across the organization.
