Overview

Workflow versioning is the standard practice of maintaining various versions of the workflow to track changes over time. Each version represents a workflow state at any point, allowing admins to view or revert to the previous configurations.

The restore action on a workflow restores and reverts to an earlier version. This is similar to an undo action used to reverse recent changes or when a prior workflow state is more accurate.

With Spendflo’s workflow versioning, each version can have a custom description to identify why the version is published, and it also helps restore the correct version.

Key Features and Benefits

The workflow versioning and restore action provides the following features and benefits:

Error correction and consistency - With versioning, admins can help identify the source of mistakes and have the scope of correction. Admins can quickly fix issues by restoring the versions, reverting to a desired state, and providing operational integrity.

Real-time change tracking - Admins can maintain a history of all the modifications to see what changes were made, by whom, and when. This happens in real-time, and by reverting to a prior version, admins can see the introduced changes and errors or inefficiencies.

Auditing and compliance - Spendflo’s versioning can be leveraged to ensure that all changes to workflows are documented, which is crucial for compliance and auditing purposes. This allows admins to comply with the regulations by restoring workflows to a compliant state.
