Overview
The Advanced Settings page in Spendflo offers users the ability to define and manage their organization’s base currency and enable additional tools like the browser extension. With multi-currency support, Spendflo simplifies global procurement workflows by presenting all contracts, reports, and procurement data in a single base currency of your choice. This eliminates manual conversions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the platform.
Previously, Spendflo only supported USD as the base currency, causing significant inconvenience for international customers who operate in other currencies. By introducing this feature, Spendflo ensures streamlined reporting, enhanced accuracy, and a better user experience for global teams.
The browser extension further extends Spendflo’s capabilities, allowing users to manage procurement and approvals seamlessly without navigating away from their workflow tools.
Key Benefits of Multi-Currency Support
Improved Accuracy
Reduces manual conversions by automatically displaying contract values, procurement requests, and financial reports in the selected base currency.
Minimizes errors caused by inconsistent exchange rates and manual data input.
Enhanced User Experience
Supports international teams by accommodating local currency preferences, improving platform usability and satisfaction.
Streamlined Financial Reporting
Ensures consistency across dashboards, reports, and exports by unifying financial data under one base currency.
Saves time for finance and procurement teams by eliminating manual data adjustments.
Better Decision-Making
Provides clear insights into vendor costs, spending trends, and procurement expenses, aiding informed decision-making.
Scalable for Global Organizations
Supports businesses operating across multiple geographies by simplifying cross-border procurement workflows.

Note: The base currency is configured during onboarding and cannot be changed directly by the user in the initial release. For any updates, organizations need to contact Spendflo Support.
Browser Extension Overview
The browser extension allows users to streamline procurement workflows directly from their browser. Users can initiate, approve, or track requests seamlessly without switching between tools.
Key Features
Quick Procurement Management: Approve or reject procurement requests directly.
Improved Accessibility: Manage tasks on-the-go without logging into the main Spendflo platform.
Miscellaneous Notes
Only Super Admins can view and manage the Base Currency settings.
Changing the base currency post-configuration requires contacting Spendflo Support.
Historical data is converted retroactively using the following logic:
Contract data: Based on the contract start date.
Spend data: Based on the transaction date.
By enabling multi-currency support and the browser extension, Spendflo ensures that organizations can operate efficiently, manage their spending globally, and simplify processes - all from a single, user-friendly platform.
