Overview

The workflow status indicates the current state and stage of progression, completion, or delay of tasks delegated within the workflow. This information helps highlight potential bottlenecks or issues that need attention.

This can be viewed within the workflow listing page in the Spendflo platform, providing an overview of the following states by which the workflow has reached -

Status

Description

Active

This status highlights the workflow's current running state, with the tasks being executed according to the defined sequences and conditions. Admins can ideally view this as currently in progress. An active workflow within the Spendflo platform can be edited/modified to change the tasks, phases, and conditions.

Draft

This status is ideally a work-in-progress, planning, or creation state. Admins can ensure that the tasks and phases are added, modified, removed, or edited under this workflow status, allowing end-to-end configuration before the workflow can be active.

The workflow will move to Draft status and must be republished to become Active again.

Stopped/Paused

This status is similar to a temporary halt or pause on the workflow, where no progression is seen with the flow. All the tasks and phases will be paused. Admins can leverage this status for workflows that need to be suspended to make further adjustments and changes to the workflow.

Archived

This status is close to a soft delete of the workflow within the Spendflo platform, where the workflow has either been completed and is no longer relevant or discontinued and is no longer active. Admins can use this status to store the workflows for reference or part of the historical data to help in data auditing processes.

Note: The status of the workflow is not an editable parameter. It gets updated automatically from the backend, based on the real-time state of the workflow within the platform.
