Overview

Our DLM integration feature consolidates all your SaaS stack's license information, including Asana, into one convenient location. Spendflo seamlessly connects with Asana, allowing you to access license and usage data directly within the Spendflo platform. With this integration, you not only gain visibility into this data but also the ability to perform specific actions from within the Spendflo app. This article will guide you through the integration's use case and the setup process.

Features and Limitations

Features

  • You get the ability to reclaim the license of a user
  • See different Asana license types and their utilization within Spendflo
  • Reclaim and offboard unused licenses of Asana from within Spendflo
  • Iron out deleted users from HRMS integration and reclaim their Asana licenses
  • Send the in-activity report directly from the Spendflo app to any email address.

Integration set up

Open Spendflo Integrations

To access Asana integration, go to Spendflo settings and select the "Integrations" section. Locate Asana within the integration list and click "Connect."

Review Permissions and choose the authentication method

After clicking on Asana, an integration pop-up will be displayed. If you're not already logged in, you will initially be prompted to log in. You can review the permissions presented on this screen and then select your preferred authentication method to complete the integration. Authentication is the process of verifying the digital identity of a user before granting access to an API.

There are two methods available on this screen:

1. OAuth 2.0: This is a secure and user-friendly method for integrating the app. The system will automatically authenticate you based on your login details.

2. API Key: With this method, you'll need to first access your admin settings to generate an API key. Once you have the API key, return to the integration pop-up and paste the generated API key. It's a more lengthy process compared to OAuth.

OAuth 2.0 method (recommended)

If you choose the OAuth 2.0 method, the system will verify if you're a user of Asana and then complete the integration automatically. You don't have to take any action in this case. The system will redirect you to the integrations screen and show the integration successful prompt.
