Salesforce Direct Integration

Overview

Spendflo helps IT teams keep on top of what SaaS software has been bought, how much money is being spent on it, how well it's being used and whether everything is compliant from a security and privacy point of view. Spendflo can connect directly to different SaaS tools like Salesforce to extract up-to-date information about which of your users are using the app, and how regularly they are logging in. This will help you improve engagement, de-provision unused seats, and prepare for your license renewal.

Features and Limitations

Features

  • You get the ability to change the role and reclaim the license of a user
  • See different Salesforce licence types and their utilization within Spendflo
  • Reclaim and offboard unused licenses of Salesforce from within Spendflo
  • Iron-out deleted users from HRMS integration and reclaim their Salesforce licences
  • Send the in-activity report directly from the Spendflo app to any email address.

Limitations

  • You cannot downgrade a licence of Salesforce from Spendflo, but you can alter the licence role.
  • Salesforce admin Access is required to create this integration

Permissions

Spendflo will access the following permissions in order to connect Salesforce with our app.

1. Access the identity URL service
2. Access unique user identifiers
3. Access content resources
4. Manage user data via APIs
5. Perform requests at any time

Open the Spendflo Integrations page

Go toapp.spendflo.com & click on Settings -> Platform Settings -> Integrations

Connect Salesforce

Once you locate the Salesforce app under integrations > Dynamic License Management, click on connect;  this will open a separate window.

Mention Salesforce Subdomain

In the new window, first, you'll be asked to write your Salesforce subdomain. The subdomain is a unique URL of your salesforce account that is associated with your org. Its usually the prefix attached to  _____.salesforce.com URL. You can click on "Where can I find this information" to get an idea.

Allow Access

Once you mention the subdomain, you'll be asked to login to your Salesforce account, if you're not already logged in. You can then read the permissions and allow the access.

Integration successful

Once the integration is successfully completed, users will see the Salesforce app labeled as Connected on the same page, and a toast message indicating successful integration will appear on the screen.

Now that you have integrated with Salesforce, click here to see how you can make the best use of the features.
