March 2023

Introduction

This month, Spendflo has introduced significant enhancements to our Vendor Trust feature, focusing on improving the security review process and tightening any existing gaps. These improvements aim to reinforce the trust and reliability of our platform, ensuring a more robust and secure experience for our users.

Begin Vendor review without a procurement request

You can now start a vendor review for software without a procurement request. Earlier, the Vendor Trust module only allowed vendor review for an ongoing procurement request; now, you have the option to begin vendor review for an ongoing procurement request as well as for any existing vendor.

Specify mandatory questions on Vendor Review.

You can now mark questions that are mandatory for the vendor to respond to. The vendor won't be able to submit the survey without answering the questions that are essential to your security requirements.

Saving the custom questionnaire for Vendor Review

You can now save any custom questionnaire that you upload for a vendor review to use in the future. This provides you the flexibility to save questionnaires based on the vendor type as a template and then allows you to quickly float reviews the next time you do a review for the same vendor category.

Vendors can share Vendor Review Questionnaire internally.

The Vendor point of contact can now add collaborators on the vendor review and can share the security questionnaire internally in their organization. There are cases when the vendor point of contact, usually a person from the sales team, has difficulty answering the technical security questions; they then take help from their legal or infosec teams offline. Now they can do this on our platform by inviting their team members as collaborators, making the overall process seamless and quick.
